Popular Hot Deals program in the Southeast inspires a broader evolution of Rural King Rewards, with new benefits and exclusive offers on the way

MATTOON, Ill., Oct. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Rural King, a family-owned retailer dedicated to the rural lifestyle, is giving customers more ways to save with a major refresh of its Rural King Rewards loyalty program. Building on the popularity of its Hot Deals initiative in the Southeast, the retailer is introducing an enhanced Rewards experience designed to deliver more exclusive savings, special offers and everyday benefits to members at Rural King Stores nationwide.

The changes begin Nov. 1 and reflect Rural King’s continued commitment to helping customers stretch their dollars further while making it easier and more rewarding to shop for the products they need.

“Our customers have told us they want more ways to save, and we’ve been listening,” said Alex Melvin, chairman of Rural King. “The response to Hot Deals in the Southeast showed us just how much our customers value meaningful savings on everyday essentials. Now we’re taking that same approach and building a better Rewards experience for all our members, no matter where they shop.”

Launched in September at participating Rural King stores in Florida, Alabama and Georgia, the Hot Deals program offered members steep discounts on 10 everyday essentials, including pet food, livestock feed, household supplies and automotive products. The initiative focused on delivering meaningful savings on products customers regularly purchase, with prices at least 25% below normal market prices.

The positive response helped shape Rural King’s broader vision for its loyalty program, extending the emphasis on everyday value beyond a select group of stores and products.

Under the refreshed Rural King Rewards program, members can look forward to several enhanced benefits, including:

• Members-only pricing and sales: Exclusive opportunities to save on products throughout the store.
• Birthday and membership anniversary rewards: Special perks to recognize and celebrate loyal customers.
• Early access to sales and events: Opportunities for members to access select promotions and events early.
• Easier purchase lookup and returns: A more convenient shopping experience with simplified access to purchase records.

“We want Rural King Rewards to be about more than earning points,” Melvin said. “It’s about giving our customers real value, whether that’s a better price on something they need, early access to a great sale or a special reward just for being a member. We want every visit to Rural King to be worth more.”

As part of the transition, members will no longer earn points on eligible purchases under the base Rural King Rewards loyalty program beginning Nov. 1. Any remaining points that have not been converted into rewards will expire. Previously issued rewards will remain valid for 60 days from their issuance dates and can be redeemed in stores or online, subject to program terms. Rural King Visa cardholders will continue to earn points through the Rural King Visa Rewards program.

Beginning Nov. 1, 10 Hot Deals will be available at Rural King stores nationwide, with additional benefits rolling out in phases.
